“Maelstrom” è stato registrato nel 2019 ed è interamente costituito da brani originali di Sergio Giangaspero arrangiato per trio (flauto, chitarra, basso acustico). Si tratta di una raccolta di composizioni, in cui a tratti si nota una spiccata ispirazione latina, specialmente nei 4 choros. Il linguaggio compositivo vuole essere trasversale e riassuntivo di alcune delle esperienze maturate in tanti anni di attività.

"Maelstrom" was recorded in 2019 and it is entirely composed of original pieces of Sergio Giangaspero arranged for trio - flute, guitar, acoustic bass. It is a collection of compositions in which there is, sometimes, a strong Latin inspiration, especially in the four choros. The compositional language is trasversal and it summarizes a lot of experiences gained in so many years of activity.
