Con il progetto "SingUm" il contrabbassista Alvise Seggi segue un percorso che parte da lontano, nel tentativo di interpretare l'alchimia delle composizioni mingussiane attraverso quei numeri e quelle melodie che ne sono all'origine. Il sound del sestetto, con la sezione delle tre ance, è caldo ed avvolgente mentre i moderni e raffinati arrangiamenti della sezione ritmica incalzano frenetici, articolandosi con decisione in stili sempre diversi. Energia, improvvisazione e tanta passione è quello che unisce i sei giovani musicisti in questo progetto.

With his Singum project the bassplayer Alvise Seggi aims to present a tribute to the great bassplayer and composer Charles Mingus. The sextet sound, with its three saxophones section, is warm and wrap while the modern and refined section arrangement urges frantically and articulates in different styles. Energy, improvisation and much passion combine the six young musician into this project.
