Il pianista Palermitano  Dario Carnovale ci offre un lavoro raffinato e pieno di swing, grazie anche all’apporto del contrabbassista Lorenzo Conte e il batterista americano Anthony Pinciotti, già collaboratori da molto tempo. Questo lavoro perfettamente intrecciato tra la tradizione dei grandi trii del passato e quelli del jazz contemporaneo offre una vetrina di brani che spaziano dall’originale Interpolation ad arrangiamenti di alcune composizioni come Giant Steps di John Coltrane, Caravan di Duke Ellingtone e If I were a bell di Frank Loesser. Il trio offre inoltre una scelta di alcuni Broadway standards suonati più liberamente per non perdere la freschezza dell’improvvisazione.

The italian pianist from Palermo Dario Carnovale offers us a refined album full of swing, also thanks to the contribution of the from a long time. This project perfectly intertwines between the tradition of the great trios of the past and those of contemporary jazz and offers a showcase of songs ranging from the original Interpolation to arrangements of some compositions such as Giant Steps by John Coltrane, Caravan by Duke Ellingtone and If I were a bell by Frank Loesser. The trio also offers some Broadway standards played more freely in order not to lose the freshness of the improvisation.
